Sid Patterson - a 1954 Tour de France Parc Des Princes programme signed on the cover by the Australian World Champion track cyclist, Sid Patterson.

Fausto Coppi - an International bicycle meeting Sunday 14 September 1958 programme signed on the inside front cover by the celebrated rider. Together with a magazine supplement outlining his life in pictures, circa 1960. (2)

Fourteen 'Peugeot Advertising Department' large format cuttings-books. Cycling magazine, bound volumes. An incomplete run from volume XLV (Jan 1913) to volume XCII (December 1935) Please see hand-written list attached to the volumes. Most volumes are in half-year increments. Miscellaneous bindings, but most volumes are in the publisher's bindings of green cloth with gilt lettering and decoration. A few volumes with loose pages, some bound with advertisements. (23)

The Rambler. Five volumes, containing issues 1 to 102. A good social magazine, 'Harmsworth Weekly Out-Door Magazine', the bindings are sound, albeit of poor quality, some covers and pages are loose, otherwise good. (5)

C.T.C. Gazette. Almost a complete run from volume 45 (January 1926) to volume 77 (December 1958). Lacking only volume 57 (1938). Mostly in publisher's official bindings, red, green, blue and brown, with gilt lettering and decoration. Issues for 1940 and 1941 are bound in one volume, and the volumes for 1949 and 1950 are loose issues in the binders. Most in very good condition. (31 books)

'Coureur' - The Sporting Cyclist. A run of the magazine from January 1958 to December 1963. Volumes for 1958 and 1959 are loose issues retaining their covers, the remainder bound with covers in four black cloth bindings with gilt tooling. Plus a single issue for October 1957. All in good clean condition. (7)

C.T.C. Road Books. Bound in green Buckram, 'British Road Book' volumes I , II and III, each with their folded maps in the inside front pocket, each being dated 1897. Also, The Irish Road Book Part II (North), dated 1900. All in very good condition. (4)

The Rambler - a weekly magazine covering fiction and non-fiction stories about cycling and travel; June 1897 to May 1898, bound in two volumes without covers, some loose pages, one board loose. (2)

Cycle Touring magazine. A run from February 1982 to January 1990 in four blue loose leaf binders. Also, Cyclist Monthly, a run from June 1982 (Vol 1 No 1) to January 1985 (Vol 2 No 20), in three black loose leaf binders. Also Cycling History Proceedings, 1990s hardback volumes for the celebrated International conferences'. (10)

Cycling Magazine. 46 Loose issues dating between 1902 and 1919, each contained in its own cellophane pocket, most with covers. Also other magazines, including The Cyclist, The Bicycle and other interesting magazines, together with cycling magazine dating from the 1930s and 1950s. (Qty).

Joseph J. Hall - two volumes entitled 'Cycle Tours through England, Illustrated'. Both half-bound in leather, each with typed text and photographs pasted in. The first (No. 2) is dated 1898, and has a folding map at the front. The spine is missing and the contents are becoming loose. The second (No. 3) is dated 1899 and has a signed photograph of the young author pasted in on the reverse side of the frontispiece. The binding is rubbed, but the volume is in better condition than the other. Both have the bookplate of Joseph J. Hall (of Great Yarmouth) on the front paste-down endpaper. Both volumes have an elaborate coloured title page, listing the counties covered during the holiday cycling tours (stretching from Norfolk to Wiltshire), and both have letters of appreciation bound in at the rear. All edges gilt, and each volume c. 200 pages. (2)

The Cycling World Illustrated, 'A Journal De Luxe'. Four loose copies with covers. Volume 1 No 1, No 2, No 7 and No 12. Cover edges a little torn, one spine split, and content very good. (4)

The Badminton Library - Cycling by Viscount Bury and G. Lacy Hillier, first edition 1887, 499pp including index. A 'Large Paper' limited edition of 250 with blue quarter leather binding, this example numbered 195. Uncut fore- edge, corners bruised and bottom of spine scuffed, otherwise a tight binding, frontispiece loose.

The Badminton Library - Cycling by Viscount Bury and G. Lacy Hillier, first edition 1887, 459pp including index and advertisements. Blue quarter leather binding with gilt lettering, new endpapers, spine scuffed, otherwise a tight binding.

Bicycling Illustrations extracted from Periodicals dating from the 1890s. A large, black ring-binder measuring approximately 12 1/2 x 19 - inches, containing 38 double-sided polythene sleeves, each holding two cards with pasted-on illustrations in various sizes and formats, mainly from periodicals of the 1890s, although a few later items also feature. The magazines include The Illustrated London News, The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, The Sketch, and The Graphic. The majority appear to be hand-coloured and all seem to be in good, clean condition. Most have been neatly annotated on the margins of the card-mounts with details of the publication from which they were taken.

Bicycling illustrations, posters etc., depicting machines from the 1800s to the Second World War. A large, black ring-binder measuring approximately 12 1/2 x 19 - inches, containing 53 double-sided polythene sleeves, about half of which hold two cards with pasted-on illustrations in various sizes and formats and from various sources, with some originals but some in reproduction. The remainder, mainly some of the reproductions of bicycling posters, are printed on both sides. An interesting collection, all appearing to be in good, clean condition.

'Punch' - Cycling Cartoons. A black ring-binder measuring 12 x 10 - inches and comprising a 'scrap-book' of Punch cartoons dating from the 1860s to the 1930s, all with a bicycling theme. The majority neatly pasted onto sheets, although a small quantity extracted from the book 'Mr. Punch Awheel' (1935?) have been loosely inserted in the rear polythene sleeve. There are nearly 150 cartoons in all, with an incomplete listing at the front of the volume and a two-page typed introduction entitled 'The Bicycle in Art'.

A good selection of photographs of cyclists and advertising postcards. Housed in a loose-leaf folder with plastic pockets, the photographs cover the period circa 1900 to 1914, some are studio views, cabinet cards and others are street scenes. The colour postcards comprise a set of six French 'story cards', 'Christmas Greetings' and birthday cards, promotional cards (Premier and Humber) and various others. Circa 140 cards, all in good clean condition. (Qty)
