A Burdin 'Derny' pacing motorcycle. Having been in dry storage for a while, this interesting machine is believed to be a complete motorcycle and comes with a further two units which could be used as donor machines. They were believed to have been used in the Bordeaux-Paris classic road race in the 1960s, a race that covered 560 km. Latterly, these motorcycles were used at the Reading Velodrome. Motor cycles with a capacity of under 50cc were free of duty on French roads, however, the French authorities appeared to turn a blind eye to the fact that these machines had Zurcher two-stroke engines of 98cc.
