A prestigious book with 311pp, superb and detailed French text with its correct English translation of 64pp in a separate saddle stitched book written by Peter Hull. It also retains its splendid silver and grey faux engine turning to the front cover and correct slip-case. 385 The Sports Car Magazine. An almost complete run of this very rare magazine: Number 1, Volume 1 (April 1935) to Number 45, Volume 4 (Dec 1938) (believed complete) bound in four books, with covers and advertise-ments, brown buckram with gold tooling on the spine. Some of the covers are a little soiled with foxing, otherwise good. Lightly cropped. Also, Issues Numbers 46, 47, 50, 52, stitched gathered and a loose Number 48, Not bound but retaining covers and advertisements, a short tear to the cover of Number 46, light sellotape tearing to the edge; 'Imperial Motors of Bristol' rubber stamp to the front cover of most of the magazines. These very rare magazines were supplied to the vendor by the late Morgan Marshall, owner of Imperial Motors Garage in Bristol in the 1960s. Morgan's name continues to be associated with a number of early M.G. cars particularly 18/80s.
