Lot 910 Description
A German gold and enamel snuff box, Hanau, circa 1810, of rectangular form, of two coloured gold with leaf scroll and blue enamel border to a central Geneva painted enamel depicting the three ages of man, the sides and base centred with engine turned panels, marked on inside of box and lid, within its original green leather case, 9cm (3.5") wide
9cm x 6cm x 1.8cm, approximately 146.5gm
Sold for £18,500
Condition Report or Notes
Leather case, light wear overall good.
Enamel panel A few very slight surface blemishes, overall good.
One small area of blue enamel is missing to the border of the back panel. The marks are slightly indistinct, perhaps not struck perfectly.
