Lot 750 Description

1932 Morris Minor Sports Reg no. OD 6730. Chassis no. 31417. Engine no. 32424A. The Morris Minor was produced to challenge head on, the excellent Austin 7. Morris launched its minor in 1928 powered with a (Wolseley derived) overhead camshaft 847cc four cylinder engine. A side valve unit of the same capacity was introduced in 1931. This unit developed near identical power, producing 19bhp which was enough to propel the lightweight Minor to almost 60mph. With its leaf spring chassis and all round drum brakes the Minor was a fine handling car. Little is known of this example but it requires restoration and is sold with a V5. It is currently on SORN.
