Richard Assheton M A, Sc. D., F. R.S. was a Research Fellow at Cambridge University in the 1890's then Lecturer in Biology at Guys Hospital, London about 1900, then Lecturer in Embryology at Imperial Colleage and finally Lecturer in Animal Embryology at Cambridge. It is not clear whether this microscope was the property of Richard Assheton but its date and capabilities are consistent with this interpretation. £ 100 - 200
